Giner Dapena Law is a Law Firm that provides counseling in all areas of labor and employment law, civil and commercial litigation, data privacy and security, medical cannabis, and blockchain technology, among other areas of practice.  The Firm actively litigates on behalf of clients before the Puerto Rico and Federal courts, as well as before administrative forums and private arbitration. The Firm has also expanded its services to Chicago, Illinois. While highly experienced in litigation, the Firm also provides preventive counseling and training. Accordingly, it maintains close communication with clients before a matter reaches litigation. The Firm also represents individual client cases and negotiation of severance agreement and extrajudicial settlements before litigation. The Firm also provides seminars and training sessions for clients and business community groups and keeps its clients abreast of current developments which may impact their operations. 

Its Founder Pedro E. Giner Dapena, Esq.  Mr. Giner Dapena has a Magna Cum Laude Psychology major from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez and a Magna Cum Laude Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law (99.1% score in the 2002 Bar Exam).  Mr. Giner Dapena has ample experience with 19 years representing Fortune 500 hundred and local companies in Puerto Rico in various industry sectors like manufacturing, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, hospital, hotel, banking, wholesale, retail, software, and services. As such, he has developed cogent and cost-effective business, operational, compliance and regulatory, litigation and counseling skills representing clients before federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as administrative agencies.  He also provides trainings and seminars to clients and general public in the above matters. He is a Notary Public, Certified Arbitrator, and Registered Notary for Weddings. He is Admitted to practice in Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois (currently applying for the Illinois Bar).

Grown and groomed in Puerto Rico’s top law firms since the beginning of his career, on 2011 he became a founding partner of Usera, Figueroa & Giner – enjoying a 6 year successful run in a law firm operation.  In September 1, 2017 he embarked in his own journey and founded Giner Dapena Law, and has since grown his clientele and practice areas. 

Mr. Giner Dapena also has startup experience, developing the MesadApp (a smartphone application to calculate Law 80-1976’s severance pay (the “mesada”), and Legalisto.com.  He also dedicates his time serving as a Board Director of the non-profit Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Rico – Puerto Rico’s number 1 food bank, where he has gained valuable corporate governance experience, and is a member of several practice groups. Most importantly, he is a devoted father of two, husband, and proud Puerto Rican who believes in working hard, enjoying life and putting his daily duty to make the island a great place to live.
